In/Outreach Team

In/Outreach Team is sponsoring a continued collection drive this fall for NELM (Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission at Rock Point, AZ);

General Wish List includes fall and winter adult men's work clothes and children's clothing, (i.e., jackets, pants, shirts, gloves, PJs, men and womens and childrens's underwear and socks), Miscellaneous items include: flash lights and batteries, and first aid kits, Also being collected for their food bank include unexpired dry goods, canned goods and condiments. .

Also needed, Office Supplies; paper--plain and multi colors, regular weight and card stock, file folders, binders, desktop organizers, pencil sharpener, hole puncher and 16 GB flash drives. Items to be delivered mid to late November.

Pictures include 2025 fall item delivery to NELM at Rock Point near the Cottonwood Campground part of Canyon de Chelly National Park under the joint auspices of the Navajo Nation and the National Park Service. Take a wonderful trip to near four corners. See a small part of what NELM is doing for the indigenous people of the Navajo Nation!

In/Outreach Team is again participating in the Verde Valley Fall Festival at the Cottonwood Fair Grounds on Saturday, October 24.  There will be children’s activities including a coloring table, mask making and the ever popular “Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin.”  Gifts for children and adults with a fun time for all SOJ hosts in Halloween or Thrivent T-shirt attire.  We will also be selling a variety of colors of SOJ/ Thrivent T-shirts.  See pictures from 2025s event. There is also a contest of building your own “Scarecrow” with prizes for the most creative!
